WORK ILLUSTRATION:
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Project Management Office, the incumbent is responsible for implementing, maintaining and operating a governance and compliance framework for corporate projects and the Investment Operations Plan (IOP) portfolio. The Consultant is responsible for developing and maintaining project management tools, methodology, and competencies and will also be required to evaluate and rank project proposals using a project prioritization model. The incumbent will be required to provide centralized measurement and reporting on corporate projects through project audits and benefits attainment reviews, as well as administer reporting of corporate KPI scorecards and IOP portfolio performance. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the management team of Strategic Management to ensure project management is appropriately integrated into our client’s strategy, planning & governance framework.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop structures, processes, models, methods and tools to enable an effective EPMO project management and governance framework

Train and education Project Owners/Leaders and key stakeholders of project management methodology, tools & templates.

Administer centralized corporate KPI scorecards and IOP reporting.

Provide independent assessment of project status reports & IOP program performance

Conduct project audits & complete verification of project benefits realization
-
Track EPMO performance & produce reports on project governance & compliance effectiveness

Administer and maintain project prioritization model and methodology

Work with Strategic Management team to align the EPMO processes with Strategic Planning, Risk Management & Project Management Services processes.

Work with Internal Audit team to align the EPMO processes with Internal Audit processes

Lead initiatives to develop and implement programs where assigned

COMPETENCIES:
-
Minimum five (5) years in the Strategic Planning field
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or relevant professional designation; or a combination of equivalent related training and applicable experience. A Masters Degree in Business Administration would be an asset.

Project Management Certification (PMI)
-
Five (5) years experience in an electrical distribution utility or equivalent industry with major hazards, public reputation concern and multiple regulators

Five (5) years experience in Project Management role

Five (5) years progressive internal and/or external consulting experience in a utility or customer service environment
